19.04.21

We have more exciting team news here at ORB! We are pleased to welcome Amy Johnson (25) to our ranks who joins us as a recruitment consultant. Amy was born in London but moved to Derby at a very young age where she lived for majority of her life before moving to Doncaster in August 2020. Here she tells us more about herself.

Tell us a bit about your education and previous career history to date?

I attended Noel-Baker Community School and Language College, where I did my GCSE's and A-levels and then had some time out of school and worked, before attending the University of Derby where I obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Healthcare Studies. I have worked in care homes for the elderly, elderly with dementia and in a school for children with learning difficulties and mental health problems.

What does your role at ORB involve?

My job title is recruitment consultant. My role is to recruit candidates who are seeking a career move or temporary work, and then recruit clients who require work and then present our candidates to fill the job role. This work also has the element of a sales role so it’s really varied and a new challenge for me.

What do you think you are going to enjoy the most working at ORB?

I am enjoying the training that is being provided as I am eager to learn and develop new skills. I am enjoying working with my team, specialising in the care sector, as they have been very welcoming and are very knowledgeable and passionate about their work.

What do you enjoy most about working in recruitment?

Recruitment is new to me so I am excited to learn as much as possible and eager to do a great job.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to socialise with family and friends, I also enjoy swimming and going on walks and a gin or two!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I am 1 of 10 siblings.
