Leading Doncaster firm, ORB Recruitment is taking a further step in its ambitious growth plans by establishing a base in Scotland.
The company, which has grown substantially since setting up in 2018, aims to be the biggest recruitment agency in Yorkshire and to develop a presence UK wide starting with an office north of the border.
Led by Alan Wallace, who has been appointed ORB’s regional director in Edinburgh, the Scottish base will focus on permanent recruitment across all sectors.
Alan, who has over 14 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, said: “This is a really exciting time for me personally and professionally. Initially I will be working closely with ORB managing director Stewart Olsen and have strong growth plans in place to quickly establish the ORB name across the Scottish market place, as well as opening a dedicated office with a dedicated team.
“Edinburgh is an excellent geographical location to set up our Scottish operations, it is our nation’s capital, and has progressed to be a vibrant hub that has an excellent ecosystem of technology SMEs and organisations that require a high demand for quality candidates.

ORB, with its headquarters at Balby Court Business Centre, has continued to be busy over recent months, supplying key workers into the healthcare sector throughout the coronavirus pandemic, as well as working with the manufacturing and production, construction and engineering industries.
Last year, the company, which commenced trading in April 2018, enjoyed a 100 percent increase in turnover rising from £1m in 2018/19 to £2.4m in 2019/20. Despite the uncertain climate, forecasted turnover for 2020/21 has recently been amended from £4 million to over £6.5 million.

The addition of Alan to the ORB team increases the total number of employees for ORB however further growth is expected, with the company set to recruit three more members of staff to the Doncaster office to work in the care, industrial and construction sectors in Q1 of 2021.
