Something we feel passionately about is supporting both the local community and our National Health Service heroes. In our latest blog from ORB managing director, Stewart Olsen, shares his views on sponsoring some fantastic categories at the Doncaster Business Awards due to commence this spring.
Businesses in Doncaster continue to inspire us regularly, but what has also stood out in recent times, particularly during January 2021, is the dedication of our key workers and NHS staff who have been under immense pressure during such difficult times.
And so we were thrilled to have the chance to be involved in the Doncaster Business Awards once again which is a wonderful event in the business calendar. We’re thoroughly looking forward to the virtual ceremony which is coming up in March 2021. The countdown begins!
What is extra special about the awards this year is that they will not only recognise the fantastic work of our business community, but also honour the unsung NHS heroes who have cared for and helped to save the lives of local people, with four NHS Recognition Awards for 2020/2021. As a nation, we know how much of a huge thank you these staff deserve after having to face such unprecedented demands in healthcare, often putting their own wellbeing on the line to treat others.
And in order to celebrate the selflessness, devotion, dedication and care of our NHS staff, we’ve teamed up with Doncaster Chamber to sponsor these categories – something we are so pleased to be able to do. This is more important than ever right now as vaccinations begin.
Having supported the healthcare industry throughout the pandemic by providing frontline staff, we understand just how much our NHS workers give back each and every day. We are proud to sponsor the chamber awards in recognition of those people who sacrifice so much to care for our communities. It is a real privilege for us to be involved.
We are also proud to be sponsoring the Excellence in People Development award again this year, which is presented to the company that demonstrates its efforts and results from investing in staff development to support the business and its growth.
