Rachel joins the ORB team

Meet Rachel Ashwell, 38, from Doncaster. Here, we find out a bit more about Rachel and her new role at ORB.

Tell us a bit about your previous career history to date?

My career for the last 10 years has been focused on welfare-to-work programmes with organisations helping people find employment. I have held various roles, including progression consultant, adviser and branch manager. I most recently worked for The Growth Company, an award-winning social enterprise which aims to create jobs and improve lives. Prior to this, I worked as a recruitment consultant.

What is your job title at ORB and what does the role involve?

My job at ORB is within the accounts department. The role includes ensuring that candidates are paid correctly and on time, invoicing clients, dealing with payroll queries and organising the holiday roster. I also check ID for new starters and ensuring they are compliant and meet the criteria for working. 

What are you enjoying the most so far?

I have been helping ORB source candidates for available positions for the past year, so I already know the team. I understand their business and how it is going from strength to strength and I'm looking forward to playing my part in an exciting future.

What makes the company stand out from the crowd?

I enjoy being part of an up-and-coming business. I can also see that the ORB directors are very involved in every part of the company which I'm sure will help us to grow and succeed.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I have an 8-year-old daughter who takes up most of my free time! As a family we enjoy going on holiday in our caravan and also love to travel abroad as often as we can. I also enjoy swimming to stay healthy.
