Penny Sharp, 23, from Edinburgh, is the latest recruit to ORB's Scotland office. Here, we find out a bit more about Penny and her new role.
Tell us a bit about your previous career history?
Before working at ORB, I worked in recruitment for a nursing agency for three years dealing with nurses and health care assistants from all clinical backgrounds. Before that, I worked within an admin team for a shipping company that dealt with clinical supplies for different stages of pharmaceutical journeys.
What does your new role at ORB involve?
My job title at ORB is Recruitment Consultant and I will be based in the recently-opened Scotland office. I will be dealing with permanent roles across Scotland, including headhunting, vetting and interviewing candidates for jobs to ensure a good fit for both client and candidate requirements.
What makes the company stand out from the crowd?
I am looking forward to dealing with ORB's approach to 360 recruitment. ORB stood out to me because it is a newer business and different to other recruitment companies.
It must be exciting to be part of ORB's venture into Scotland?
I am excited to be joining ORB at such an early stage up here in Scotland. Hopefully I can play a part in bringing a fresh outlook on recruitment and see the business succeed and grow in the near future.
What do you enjoy most about working in recruitment?
I enjoy how fast paced recruitment is and helping someone progress in their career.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I am regularly in the gym. I also enjoy socialising with friends and travelling.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
I used to be a competitive gymnast. When I was 18, I went to Camp America to be a gymnast coach for a summer.
