A recruitment company aiming to shake up post-pandemic recruitment in Scotland has appointed a new staff member to its expanding team.
ORB Recruitment, which in August opened an office in the Edinburgh Park Pure Office development, has welcomed Penny Sharp to the business.
Penny, 23, is an Edinburgh local and will take on the role of Recruitment Consultant in the team.
Her position will involve managing permanent roles across Scotland including headhunting, vetting and interviewing candidates for jobs.
Before joining ORB, Penny worked in recruitment for Scottish Nursing Guild, dealing with nurses and health care assistants from all clinical backgrounds. Previously, she worked as an administrator for shipping company Marken.
Penny said: "I am looking forward to dealing with ORB's approach to 360 recruitment. ORB stood out to me because it is a newer business with an innovative approach and different to other recruitment companies.
"I am excited to be joining ORB at such an early stage here in Scotland. Hopefully I can play a part in bringing a fresh outlook on recruitment and see the business succeed and grow in the near future."
Penny joins as ORB looks to quickly establish its name in Scotland. She is the third member of the team in Scotland, after Gillian Nimmo joined as associate director in September.
Alan Wallace, managing director at ORB Executives heading up ORB’s Scottish operations, said: "It's wonderful to be able to welcome Penny to ORB's Scotland team.
"We want to be trailblazers for a new era of permanent recruitment and Penny will help us provide our clients with the point of difference that makes ORB unique."
Headquartered in Balby Carr, Doncaster, ORB Recruitment is a specialist, dedicated recruitment consultancy offering effective recruitment solutions to clients across the UK.
