Orb Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced CNC Operator with previous knowledge/experience in using the CNC Router, to join our client on a Full Time, Permanent basis in Doncaster DN6.
Our client is an industry leading vehicle conversion company who specialise in the conversion of welfare vehicles for various industries.
The Role
- Manufacturing a variety of timber parts in line with build schedule and works order requirement.
- Operatives are responsible for preparing timber for cutting, and operating the CNC Router machine to cut lining kits and other parts, assembling units and trimming various parts.
- Ensuring parts are produced to the highest quality and in a timely manner to meet the production schedule.
- Operatives are accountable for following the company QMS procedure.
- Communicate issues to Supervisor and keep a clean, safe working environment.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Cut material on the CNC Router Machine in line with build schedule requirements.
- Cut Softwood kits in the saw area in line with build schedule requirements.
- Manufacture 'in-house' parts in line with build schedule requirements.
- Work only to works orders/panel request forms.
- Produce parts to the correct specification in line with technical drawings and works orders.
- Report drawing and quality issues to supervisor and technical office.
- Report nesting errors to Supervisor and Technical Office.
- Complete re-work if required.
- Ensure completed parts are stored correctly.
- Ensure completed works orders are checked and passed to stores.
- Monitor "RAW" stock levels and re-order as required.
- Train in all areas of the department to increase skillset.
- Responsible for the completion of all relevant paperwork.
- Work as part of a team.
- Carry out instructions from Supervisors and Team Leaders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment including wood machine area.
- Maintain safe and clean machinery, including CNC machine and report any problems.
- Carry out duties in line with Health & Safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential Health & Safety issues.
- Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy.
- Adhere to relevant ISO/QMS process.

- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of practices and terminology of the timber area and machinery.
Working Hours
(Training)
- Monday to Wednesday, 6am - 2pm
- Thursday, 6am - 1pm
(Post Training)
- Monday to Wednesday, 16.00pm - 02.00am
- Thursday, 15.00pm - Midnight
